Rajkumar Rao who plays the role of Sonu Saraswat, popularly known as Sonu bhaiya in the movie Dolly ki Doli is a Bollywood actor and is popularly known for his role in the 2012 movie 'Shahid' which was the biopic of famous lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi who fought cases for Muslims who were wrongly accused of criminal activities and were facing false charges of terrorism.
Rajkumar Rao won the National Film Award for Best Actor and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for this role of Shahid Azmi, who was shot and killed in 2010 at a young age of 32.
Rajkumar started his career with the 2010 movie - Love Sex Aur Dhokha, popularly known as LSD and came into limelight with his role in the Superhit movie Kai Po Che and then for an important role in another Box Office hit Queen which was also a woman-centric film like Dolly ki Doli and Kangana Ranaut played the lead role in that movie.
One more important game-changing movie for Rajkumar was City Lights, where he played the role of Deepak Singh and his real life girlfriend Patralekha played the role of his wife.
Rajkumar Rao is playing a pivotal role in Dolly ki Doli also and is one of the three male leads of the movie. He is playing the role of a Haryanvi Jatt Sonu Saraswat, who falls in love with our charming Dolly who eventually robs him and his family of all their belongings.
Rajkumar Rao is a critically acclaimed actor who is known for excellent performance in serious roles and where true acting as an art comes into play, but he has broken this string and will be seen in a different avatar in Dolly ki Doli, where he can also be seen shaking his legs and dancing to the tunes of Miss Ragini in the song 'Fashion Khatam Mujhpe'.
